Bundaberg, one of Queensland's largest cities, is noted for its sugar and rum production and offers an attractive, equable climate and relaxed lifestyle. Bundaberg city is the hub and commercial capital of the region servicing a regional population of over 130,000 with dynamic shopping, dining and entertainment choices and providing all the services and facilities one would expect from a provincial capital.

cityThe city boasts a bustling CBD and a wide range of attractions and accommodation options.

Or you may choose the natural beauty of the North Burnett. From at Biggenden, along the many weirs on the Burnett River, through to Cania Dam at Monto where water ski-ing, boating and fishing opportunities abound. Come and enjoy the “naturally beautiful’ North Burnett and partake of our hospitality.

Travel the A3 Australia’s Country Way and enjoy a country adventure visiting Biggenden, Gayndah (don't miss the Big Orange), Mundubbera (the mandarin growing capital of Australia), Monto and the breathtaking Cania Gorge, Mt Perry with the Boolboonda Tunnel, the southern hemisphere's longest hand cut unsupported tunnel, and Eidsvold.

Or visit Childers, a quaint historic town right on the Bruce Highway where you can purchase a famous Mammino Gourmet Ice-Cream - the hardest choice you'll have is which flavour – or enjoy a local wine or experience the wildlife. Up the highway is Gin Gin with its wide streets and historic buildings, a reminder of Queensland's pioneering past. Visitors can explore the natural rural countryside and fields of sugarcane with vineyards and olive groves. Nearby Lake Monduran provides a relaxing waterside location - popular for fishing.

The region has an unspoilt coastline from Woodgate in the south, Elliot Heads, Bargara, Burnett Heads and Moore Park Beach. Discover miles of clean stinger-free beaches, oceanfront accommodation and cafes, 4x4 in one of eight coastal national parks or just sit back, relax and enjoy a spot of fishing - all without the crowds!
